Accessibility

This website has been built to international standards for internet accessibility, to make it inclusive for people who use access technology to access websites. We recommend that you read through our Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy and Cookies Policy, for further information on how this site has been built, and the terms that you are agreeing to by using it.

The World Wide Web Consortium, known as “W3C”, has laid out detailed guidelines for websites to follow as part of their Website Accessibility Initiative.

We strive to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 so that this website is compliant with the Equality Act 2010. It satisfies all Priority 1 checkpoints of the Web Accessibility Guidelines as standard, and aims to meet all Priority 2 guidelines to make it easier for disabled users to interact with the site.

If you have any feedback, suggestions or comments, please get in touch with us. If you experience any kind of difficulty in using this site, please contact us immediately so that we can work to fix the issue as quickly possible.

Standards compliance

This website was built to conform to W3C web content accessibility guidelines. In meeting at least Level AA of their accessibility standards, the pages of this site meet all Priority 1 and 2 requirements.

All website pages validate as XHTML 1.0 transitional and use CSS for layout. In complying with international standards, this means that the content of this site should be compatible with all current and future browsers.

Only relative font sizes have been used on this site, so that viewers can re-size the text in visual browsers for their convenience.

Images

Where images are used to display information on this website, a text alternative is supplied for users of non-visual browsers and assistive technologies. The “alt” and “longdesc” attributes, where detail is appropriate, will provide an explanation of significant images.

Resizing

The modern browsers we support (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari) feature in-built accessibility tools, including zoom and text-resizing.

You can change the text size or adjust the page zoom in your browser by following these instructions:

  • PC / Internet Explorer From the menu bar underneath the search field, select Page and point to Text size
  • PC / other browsers Increase page zoom: Hold down the CTRL key and press + Decrease page zoom: Hold down the CTRL key and press –
  • Mac / all browsers Increase page zoom: Hold down the Command key and press + Decrease page zoom: Hold down the Command key
