We are a firm of Solicitors in South Wales with a reputation in the personal injuryfield. We are regulated by the Law Society for your peace of mind.

Here at Mooneerams, we offer a nationwide service from our offices in Cardiff and Pontypridd. You can contact us by email  telephone or come and see us at one of our offices.

We can also arrange to come and see you at your home and at your convenience.

At Mooneerams we take pride in the fact that we’re different from other solicitors in our field.

We put our clients at the heart of everything we do; we meet all our clients face to face and offer a personalised service which can literally be delivered straight to your doorstep, at a time convenient to you.

Our clients benefit from our local knowledge and the relationship we have with other local specialists such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, vehicle repairers and hire car companies, who are often involved in assisting your recovery and managing your claim.

Mooneerams Solicitors was established in Cardiff in 2002, by Vin Mooneeram and Alistair Worth, to meet the increasing need for local, face to face, personal injury specialists. If you think you may have cause to pursue a personal injury claim, request a call back from one of our specialist solicitors or call us on 029 2048 3615.

Whether you have a case depends very much on the circumstances of the incident and it's effect on you as an individual.

If you think you may have a valid claim or are just unsure, request a call back from one of our solicitors or call us on 029 2048 3615

We'll be more than happy to speak to you.

There is generally a 3 year time limit from the date that the incident/accident took place to make a claim.

This is different for claims under the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) scheme which must be made within 2 years of the date of the incident.

There are sometimes exceptions to these rules such as where the claims involve children. In this case, the time limit runs from the child's 18th birthday (except with CICA claims, which are always 2 years).

Different time limits can apply to different types of claims. We would advise that it’s best to proceed with a claim as soon as possible following an accident, to ensure that you are offered the very best care and support following any injury sustained.

If you're not sure, the best thing to do is to speak to a specialist solicitor. Any of our solicitors will be happy to discuss this further with you.

The amount of compensation you receive will depend on the facts of the individual case.  We will work with you to understand the facts surrounding the accident and any injuries sustained.  We will then discuss what you could potentially expect to be awarded for successful claim.

No matter how big or small the injury sustained a claim for compensation is intended to provide financial support for any area of your life which has been affected e.g. loss of earnings, medical expenses etc.

The objective of any compensation is to restore you to the original personal and financial position you were in before the accident or incident, or to compensate you for any elements where this is not possible.

To find out what you can be reimbursed for or make a claim for a personal injury, request a call back from one of our specialist solicitors or call us on 029 2048 3615.

Yes, in the event of a successful claim, we will recover our costs directly from the other party. Mooneerams will not make any deductions from your compensation.

At Mooneerams Solicitors we have links with experts and treatment providers accross the country.  As a result, any appointments you are required to attend e.g. medical appointments, physiotherapy etc will be arranged on a local basis for your convenience.

With court proceedings, this is usually dealt with in your local county court.

It is impossible to say for certain whether you will need to go to court, in most cases, an appropriate settlement is made out of court.

At Mooneerams Solicitors, we have a wealth of experience in handling personal injury claims and have dedicated teams of experienced solicitors who specialise in a range of personal injury situations.

You’ll have a dedicated solicitor, who will be in regular contact with you, rather than someone who isn’t familiar with your case.
Our solicitors work closely together as a team, so there’ll always be someone you can talk to within office hours.

We don't employ or use paralegals to work on your case.  Your case will always be supervised and run by a solicitor.

It is not possible to say exactly how long a claim will take. This depends on the scale of injury sustained, the willingness of the other party to admit liability for the accident and other factors which are relevant to each case.

However, at all times we will keep you fully informed of any new developments which arise.

This will depend on the circumstances of the accident. The criteria is different for accidents which occur, for example accidents in shops to those which happen due to faulty pavements.

Therefore evidence of the defect is very important. So, if you have tripped for example on a faulty paving, we recommend that you take photographic evidence as soon as possible.
