For decades the Mooneeram family name has been
known and recognised amongst the communities of Cardiff.
Originally from Mauritius, the Mooneeram family
moved to Cardiff in 1962 - where Ravi Mooneeram (above) took up
degree course at Cardiff University. Ravi Mooneeram went on to teach
in several local schools, served as a Cardiff magistrate for many
years and was appointed as a Community Tutor at The Centre, 28 The
Parade, Cardiff. Fluent in 5 languages, Ravi was awarded the MBE
in 1992 for his services in integrating and assisting culturally
diverse groups to integrate and settle into the UK, overcoming their
language and cultural barriers.
Vin Mooneeram qualified as a solicitor in 1994,
after which time he held several legal posts in Cardiff including
that of Partner and Head of Personal Injury at Howells Solicitors.
Alistair Worth qualified as a solicitor in
1997. Following posts in Cardiff Bay and Caerphilly, Alistair
and Vin established Mooneerams Solicitors in 2003
Mooneerams has and continues to build a strong
and positive reputation in Cardiff and the South Wales Valleys.
The company continues to embrace cultural diversity and is specifically
involved in helping young people to achieve their potential.
