Carl Waring

Carl is a highly experienced personal injury solicitor with over 38 years’ PQE (Post-qualification experience).

Carl was educated at Leigh Grammar School and Leigh College. He was awarded an LL.B. degree at the University of Sheffield and took his Solicitors Finals exams after studying at the College of Law in Chester. He also has a Postgraduate Diploma in International Sports Law from Anglia Ruskin University.

After qualifying as a solicitor in 1987, Carl was a partner in two large provincial personal injury firms before setting up his own claimant injury practice, with offices in London and Manchester. In 2003,  after ten exciting and successful years, Carl sold his majority share in the practice to his remaining partners.

Carl has worked with Mooneerams since 2018, initially as a freelance marketing consultant and since April 2023 as a full-time employee. His role encompasses all aspects of legal marketing at Mooneerams. He is an experienced legal writer. Carl writes and oversees the majority of the firm’s website articles, legal commentary, guest features, award submissions, news, and social media communications.

He works closely with our chosen charity of the year and with our team of legal marketing experts.

Mooneerams are delighted to have Carl on board. With over three decades in practice, Carl combines legal experience with a clear understanding of how to communicate complex issues simply and effectively.

Carl hails from Manchester and is married, with two adult sons. Despite living near London, Carl remains a season-ticket holder at Manchester City.

Carl is a keen runner. He has completed seven marathons, numerous half-marathons, and a host of 10,000-metre races over the past 40 years. In 2021, Carl ran a minimum of a mile every day for 365 days, clocking up over 1400 miles in the process, in aid of Shelter Cymru. On achieving this feat, he officially became a fully paid-up member of the US-based organisation, Streak Runners International!

In October 2025, he ran the Cardiff Half Marathon along with six of his Mooneerams colleagues to raise funds for The Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity in Cardiff.

Carl’s other hobbies include walking his German Shepherd dogs around nearby Hatfield Forest, attending live theatre and rock concerts, and reading crime novels.
