Carl Waring

Carl is our marketing guru, as well as a hugely experienced personal injury solicitor with over 38 years PQE (Post Qualification Experience).

Carl was educated at Leigh Grammar School and Leigh College. He studied for a LL.B. law degree at the University of Sheffield and took his Solicitors finals exams after studying at the College of Law in Chester. Carl has also received a Postgraduate Diploma in International Sports Law from Anglia Ruskin University.

After qualifying as a solicitor in 1987, Carl was a partner in two large, provincial personal injury firms before setting up his own PI practice, which had offices in London and Manchester. In 2003,  after 10 exciting and successful years, Carl sold his majority share in the practice to his remaining partners.

Carl has worked with Mooneerams since 2018, initially as a freelance marketing consultant and since April 2023 as a full-time employee. His work encompasses all aspects of legal marketing for the firm, including writing nearly all the content for the firm’s website, outreach publications, legal awards submissions, news items, and social media output. He works closely with our chosen charity of the year and with our team of digital and content marketing experts.

Mooneerams are delighted to have Carl on board as our Head of Marketing. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the legal profession, as well as possessing excellent legal marketing skills. Carl has written nearly all the webpages and blogs on the Mooneerams website, as well as numerous articles on legal topics for a diverse range of publications and websites.

Carl hails from Manchester and is married, with two adult sons. Despite living near London, Carl is still a season ticket holder at Manchester City and gets to see them regularly.

Carl is a keen runner, having completed seven marathons, numerous half-marathons, and 10,000-meter races over the past 40 years. In 2021, Carl ran at least a mile every day for 365 days, clocking up over 1400 miles in the process, in aid of Shelter Cymru. In achieving this feat, he officially became a fully paid-up member of the US-based organisation, Streak Runners International!

In October 2025, he ran the Cardiff Half Marathon along with six work colleagues to raise funds for The Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity in Cardiff.

Carl’s other hobbies include walking his German Shepherd dogs around nearby Hatfield Forest, going to the theatre, and reading crime novels.
