Legal News Wales recently interviewed Alistair Worth, Managing Director of Mooneerams, as part of its ‘TSR Legal Meets’ series of articles.
During the course of a wide-ranging discussion, Alistair shared his views on the current state of the personal injury sector in Wales, why going to work doesn’t seem like going to work, what makes Mooneerams stand out from the crowd, and his advice to aspiring young lawyers.
Alistair started working in the legal profession over 25 years ago as a trainee solicitor. He now finds himself as the managing director of Wales only purely claimant personal injury firm. Alistair brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role, plus boundless enthusiasm and a wicked sense of humour (at appropriate times).
When asked what sets Mooneerams apart from other law firms, Alistair was emphatic in his reply; for him, it’s because Mooneerams is a niche claimant personal injury firm and is the only purely claimant personal injury firm in Wales.
“When clients come to us, they know their accident claims will be handled by a niche firm of expert personal injury solicitors who will look to get the best result possible for them”, said Alistair
Alistair also discussed how the firm has had to adapt to face the challenges of seemingly endless changes to personal injury law and procedure, particularly in the case of whiplash injury claims.
Alistair also highlighted the firm’s investment in technology and remote working capabilities, ensuring that clients continue to receive excellent service, regardless of their circumstances or geographical location.
One of the key takeaways from the interview was Alistair’s passion for personal injury work. He spoke about the satisfaction he derives from helping clients to ensure they receive the compensation they deserve. Alistair’s commitment to justice and genuine care for his clients shines through in the article.
Looking ahead, Alistair outlined his vision for the future of Mooneerams. He insisted that while he is happy with the firm’s progress over the past six years, no one at Mooneerams must become complacent. Alistair emphasised the importance of maintaining the firm’s core values while embracing innovation and staying at the forefront of legal developments.
In concluding the interview, Alistair left some valuable advice for aspiring solicitors. He stressed the significance of continuing to learn about their field of law. However, he also highlighted the need for young lawyers to become technically ‘savvy’.
Alistair encouraged young professionals to seize every opportunity to gain practical experience and develop their skills, reminding them that success comes with dedication and perseverance.
