We are delighted to introduce Esther Antiri, who recently joined Mooneerams Solicitors. Esther is a Dutch national with a real passion for law, and for the next few months, she will be providing valuable assistance to our busy Road Traffic Accident team. Esther started with the firm in early September and has already fitted in seamlessly.
Her arrival marks an exciting opportunity for Esther to experience day-to-day life in a busy solicitors’ office that operates under a legal jurisdiction different from the one she is familiar with in the Netherlands. Equally, our existing team will doubtless be keen to learn about areas where the law of the Netherlands differs from that of England and Wales.
Educational Journey
Esther recently graduated from Juridische Hogeschool Avans-Fontys in the Netherlands, where she studied for and completed her Bachelor of Law degree between 2020 and 2024. Her academic journey has equipped her with a strong foundation in legal principles, preparing her for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in her career.
Esther’s most recent work experience before joining Mooneerams saw her taking an internship at Refugee Work Netherlands, where part of her work involved explaining complex legal concepts and procedures to clients in simple terms.
Personal Attributes
We asked Esther what she thought were her best attributes were:
“I am always open to feedback, both good and bad. For me, that is key to self-development. I have an ambitious mindset that drives me to pursue my dreams and goals.
I want to excel in law and am always looking to expand my knowledge. It’s for this reason I applied to work overseas at Mooneerams. Thankfully, I speak fluent English – not much Welsh yet, but we’ll see how that goes. At the very least, I may pick up a South Wales accent!”
When asked how she was settling into the Road Traffic Accident Team, Esther replied:
“I love working as part of a team and am eager to contribute positively and help the team in whatever way they think I can assist. Every minute I am in Mooneerams Cardiff office, I am learning something new, and that’s how I want it to be!”
Mooneerams Managing Director, Alistair Worth, said:
“When we received Esther’s application to spend some time working with Mooneerams, my fellow directors and I were immediately struck by the quality of her CV and the contents of her accompanying email. We admired the fact she had done her research on Mooneerams before applying to join us and that she very much wanted to spend time working with a firm of lawyers in another country to broaden her experience and knowledge.
Since joining Mooneerams only a few weeks ago, she has impressed everyone with how she has settled in and her desire to work with her new colleagues. We look forward to giving Esther a favourable impression of life in a busy firm of personal injury solicitors, and we are sure we will learn a lot from her, too!”
