Our recently appointed new Director, Natalie Green, was delighted to receive a personal message of congratulations from Kerry Underwood following her appointment as a Director of Mooneerams.
Kerry is one of the best-known figures in the legal profession. As Senior Partner of Underwoods Solicitors, he is widely regarded as the leading authority on legal funding and costs and has written the leading works on Conditional Fee Agreements, Fixed Costs, and Qualified One-Way Costs Shifting. He is a regular contributor to major legal publications, appears frequently in the media, and is often consulted by senior politicians and members of the Judiciary on technical legal issues.
In his letter to Natalie, the contents of which she was happy to share with us, Kerry described Mooneerams as “an outstanding law firm” and said that Natalie had become “an integral part” of it.
He went on to reflect on his long-standing relationship with the firm:
“I have worked with Mooneerams for many years, and they represent the best aspects of traditional law firms, as well as, of course, having a modern outlook, and the key is the personal touch.”
Kerry added that, “In a world where clients often struggle to speak to a real person – whether it be a doctor, a lawyer or whatever- Mooneerams stand out, and that is undoubtedly a major factor in (their)success.”
Perhaps the most humbling endorsement came when Kerry added that whenever he needs guidance on his own remaining personal injury cases, he turns to Mooneerams.
Such an expression of trust, from someone with Kerry’s depth of experience, legal knowledge and standing in the legal profession, is something we value enormously.
